Good day and welcome back to my blog on the lil red canoe project that will continue as long as I can create them.
Today is a very special day for lil red canoe #218
As I may have mentioned in past posts many people cannot come here and release canoes , so I will release 1 on their behalf for any reason for which I really enjoy doing daily.

We all suffer loses in our lives which also include our beloved pets which are very much part of our family , they may not be with us anymore however their love will always be in our hearts forever.

So today I am very honoured to release lil red canoe #218 dedicated to Mai Ling by Christine who shared love and affection for almost 20 years

Today was a beautiful day to set lil red canoe #218 free to explore the river and encounter many adventures.

Today I placed lil red canoe #215 on a ice shelf in the river , I will go back tomorrow to see if it is still there.

I also decided to take a walk down stream and found this lil one under some ice , it may have to wait until spring to continue its journey.

Today is a special day for the lil red canoe project , 2 lil canoes to be set free to begin their travels down the river.

The lil red canoe project continues even though I was not released today due to prior commitments I had being also an artist and not the creator of the lil canoes.

November 13 2019 Day 123

Hi , and welcome back to my blog on the lil red canoes a social project that has had and still has an overwhelming response from the public whether to release one themselves or have one dedicated to someone that is still with us or has passed.

So today I was honoured to release lil red canoe #207 for Domenic on behalf of Caterina , the actual footage of the release is due to the fact my camera battery life had expired.(another note to self always check the battery)

It is unfortunate that I cannot have a redo for once the canoe is released due to the fact the river is very healthy and strong at this time and the below video will demonstrate this.

Even though the footage is not available be assured that lil red canoe #207 did indeed start its journey with vigor and courage that I can only assume Dominic would have done.

November 12 2019 Day 122

Hi everyone and thank you for following the" lil red canoe project" a social project to engage people from everywhere to release or have a lil canoe released on their behalf for any reason they wish.

So going forward we have another release today , the reason the video is segmented is because only 100MB can be downloaded into my blog at one time ,

November 11 2019 Day 121

As the social project has and will continue to evolve the lil red canoe has and will continue to impact lives.
As the seasons change so does the project change .

During the summer it was easy for people that came out and visited my studio and outdoor shows and having heard about the project and wanted to set one free for whatever reason and headed down to the river.

Now heading into the winter months that is no longer an option , however I am still here , working on new creations for next year in my studio and creating more lil red canoes.

As I had mentioned in many past posts the project will continue thanks to social media and people are requesting lil canoes be released for their reasons and dedicating them to someone either with us or no longer with us and the treasured memories.

November 10 2019 Day 120

Hi folks and welcome back as the lil red canoe project continues

As you may have read in my prior post there was a health issue setback on the project which seems to be a bit better now.
I have segmented the videos into 4 separate videos and the reason is downloading into the blog , each video has to be under 100MB.

I hope you enjoy them.

Here we have the area where I will be setting lil canoe #204 into the river.

Here we have the lil canoe mulling around and latching on to a large bubble , then the bubble breaks

and the final video in this series is the lil canoe is now on its way down the river towards Little Bald Lake and beyond until the ice sets in.

November 8 2019

Due to health issues I have not be able to do a daily release and post over the last couple of days, the lil red canoe project will continue hopefully in the next couple of days.

I have some canoes ready to be set in the river and the numbers will catch up.

Here is an image captured a couple of days ago and I am hoping to head down to the river and capture more when feeling better.

As the lil canoe project continues forward I will be posting images and videos all winter

Here I had placed a rock in the river to give me time to capture a image of lil canoe #204 before it continued down the river.

Today I set lil red canoe #202 , that is Two Hundred and Two lil canoes set free in the Miskwaa Ziibi river and who knows where they may go but it does appear they are having fun at the beginning of their adventures.

I am really enjoying this , yes I captured this video from the middle of the river on the rock I would normally sit on and create them , I did use extreme caution doing this , its all about saving the camera , lol

also today I had the honour of releasing lil red canoes for other people , true, it is not the same as people actually release them , however this is another way people can express their own reasons why , and only they need to know.
