September 29 2019 Day 82

No new canoes were released today because I had ran out and now getting busy creating more.
This is the image I had posted at the beginning of the project.

September 27 2019 Day 80

It has been 80 consecutive days that I have posted and will continue to do so.

Today lil canoe #153 was placed into the river by Lynda and Kevin all the way from Chatham On.
So far the river appears not to be getting to the point to help the lil red canoes begin , so they will have to wait for which they don't mind at all they wander about and socialize with other lil canoes.

In the meantime here is Debra setting lil canoe #146 into the area were there is still some water left and the second set of rings are a startled frog.

September 22 2019 Day 75

As Autumn is in full swing , the river still hasn't recovered with the lack of rain this summer.
However nothing will hinder the social project as lil canoes continue to be released into the water of the Miskwaa Ziibi river , translated in Ojibwa "Red River"
I am very happy to report that the project has had 1.005 views as of yesterday and I thank you for following along.

September 19 2019 Day 72

Today is a special day for the lil red canoe project and for lil canoe #143 released by me.

I have adapted and allowed this social project to evolve to a whole new level , I am allowing people from all over the world to submit an email to me with the reason why they wish to set a lil canoe free into the Miskwaa Ziibi river.
I fully understand that it is not the same as releasing the canoe in person , however the lil canoes have no concept of time (even time zones) or borders (they have the potential to travel any where they wish around the world via the Trent Waterway System).
So if you are reading this and wish to participate at no cost or obligation drop me an email at miskwaa.art@gmail.com and I will post it in my blog.

September 11 2019 Day 64

Well today no images and no video , just a few words

As the summer winds down and fall begins we don't expect to many visitors at the gallery over the next few months and that is okay , the lil red canoe project will continue and my daily blog entry will continue.
As I had mentioned in prior posts at least 1 canoe will still be released per day, some posts my be repeated but the project must continue.
So future posts will probably be me releasing a lil canoe into the river, so with that in mind today I set free my 129th lil red canoe.

September 4 2019 Day 57

Here is a short video of the Miskwaa Ziibi today , pretty much the same as yesterday even with a thunder storm last night.
I have been asked several times why the lil "RED" canoe ? , well the reason is that is symbolizes the river itself "Miskwaa Ziibi translated in Ojibwa is "Red River , a name it had over a century ago.
Today I released lil canoe #119 to join the others and then wait , again the lil canoes have no concept of time.

September 3 2019 Day 56

No video of the river today due to rain , stay tuned for tomorrow and we will see if it has changed

Here is an image of a lot of the lil canoes released over the last few weeks by people with wishes, dreams, goals or just "letting go of something"
This is were they will wait until the river reaches normal levels again

As per the original concept , at least one canoe is released per day and since no one else released a canoe , I set lil canoe #116 into the water to join the others waiting.
