September 6 2019 Day 59

Thank you for following along with the lil red canoe project , I am very pleased to announce that the project is being followed in 10 Countries around the world with close to 900 views.

No video of the river today for it is raining , yayy , maybe it will help nourish the river.

Today was a special day for the lil red canoes , we had visitors drop in before the rain started.
Here we have Jamie on the right from Peterborough setting lil canoe #122 in the water and on the left we have Carol all the way from Michigan just set lil canoe #126 into the water and watched it float away.

September 4 2019 Day 57

Here is a short video of the Miskwaa Ziibi today , pretty much the same as yesterday even with a thunder storm last night.
I have been asked several times why the lil "RED" canoe ? , well the reason is that is symbolizes the river itself "Miskwaa Ziibi translated in Ojibwa is "Red River , a name it had over a century ago.
Today I released lil canoe #119 to join the others and then wait , again the lil canoes have no concept of time.

September 3 2019 Day 56

No video of the river today due to rain , stay tuned for tomorrow and we will see if it has changed

Here is an image of a lot of the lil canoes released over the last few weeks by people with wishes, dreams, goals or just "letting go of something"
This is were they will wait until the river reaches normal levels again

As per the original concept , at least one canoe is released per day and since no one else released a canoe , I set lil canoe #116 into the water to join the others waiting.

We also had lil canoes #91 released by Angie , #102 by Mike and #114 set free by Barb , its moments these special moments that I respect a families wishes not to image the moments of setting lil canoes into the water to wait , again the lil canoes have no concept of time and borders.

I am so thrilled to announce the this project has evolved to a new social project which will be officially launched in the spring of 2026. ...
